Back in my college days, as so many kids do, I experimented with my identity. I dyed my hair purple. I read new and radical philosophies. I adopted the Dvorak keyboard layout. And once I’d made the switch, I stuck with it. Here’s what I’ve concluded.

Circa 2005 I decided to stop reading so much trash scifi and start reading through the top 100 novels (based on a list I found on some random website). It took a decade but I did it! I am now officially a science fiction expert! Here’s my final summary of things.
GeekGirlCon happens every October in Seattle. I had so much fun last year that I went this year as a volunteer. And I had a great time, as I fully expected. But what I didn’t expect was to come away so dang inspired.
