Quick tip: force the browser to show the wi-fi “accept” screen

I’ve got a laptop running Windows 8. For whatever reason, whenever I get to a place with one of those wi-fi networks that makes you log in through a browser (like the airport, or Starbucks), my laptop is strangely reluctant to give me the screen. Instead I get dumb connection errors. WHERE IS THE LOGIN SCREEN? JUST SHOW IT TO ME! I DESPERATELY WISH TO ACCEPT YOUR TERMS OF SERVICE!

Anyway, the solution: point your browser at any url that starts with http:// (not https://) – I like to use http://www.zombo.com. After all, you can do anything at Zombocom.
