This was my Coding Dojo project for the Ruby on Rails stack – a prototype website for a small business (who make fabulous tie-dyed blankets). Included a customer side where users could register/login, register their products, check in at a location and view their check-ins, etc. It also included an admin portal where company employees could log in, and add/edit/remove products and customers in the database.
This was my first time really working with external APIs (Instagram, Google Maps). I found this experience to be a mix of laptop-defenestrating levels of frustration (when the documentation has you clicking in circles) and gibbering euphoria (when it finally works and you feel omnipotent). So… not that different than any other code.
